Raising money to fund equipment, catering, and additional items necessary for the success of our 4-7 minute film. Have til 4-14-11!
My group, Team ZeroPoint, has gathered together to create a 4-7 minute short film for the 48 Hour Film Project competition here in Dallas, Texas. This is a worldwide competition. We get to create an eye-popping short motion picture that will include a character, a prop, a line, and a genre that they will provide us.
We're renting equipment from a local vender that my Director of Photography found for us. They will supply all that we will need. NO member of our team makes any money in this project. This is more for the fun and experience of making a short movie, but we get no cash prize if our film wins. We're shooting the film in up to 2 locations, with small breaks, but we'll be filming all in one day and then editing the next. If we need to do any re-shoots, they'll be done while editing is taking place. We're also looking to have up to 2 restaurants or food places who will be able to provide food and drink for the cast and crew during the shoot. We'll need funds for costumes, prop, makeup, lighting, and any sound equipment that we'll need including microphones and recording equipment.
We need to have everything in place by April 14th 2011 so there is a time crunch involved, but rest assured, once you see what we're going to create, you'll be amazed. All the films in the Project will be showcased at the 41st Annual USA Film Festival in Dallas, Texas at the end of April 2011. The winning film will get to go on to national competition, and then a world competition from there. This is exciting!
This is my passion, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life- make movies, especially really entertaining and thought-provoking films. This can be my springboard, and I have a wonderful team which I would like to take with me on this journey. They're as excited as I am about creating this. Please support our efforts! It'll be fun!
