About this project
First Lifesavers album in 16 years! Features Michael Knott of course, Joshua Lory on Bass, Nick White on Drums, and Cliffy (Huntingtons/Mainline Riders) on Guitar! 13 songs are written, recording has already begun! This album will be classic Lifesavers Surf/Punk, a soundtrack for Summer if you will. Recording will be done by Joshua Lory at his home studio as well as One Way Studio with Masaki Liu, who will more than likely mix it. Mastering will be done by J. Powell at Steinhaus Mastering. The money we raise here will go to studio cost for recording drums, guitar, and mixing, as well as CD pressing. Those that donate $15.00 and up will receive a download link sent to their email the day the album is finished mixing as well as a copy of the disc before it hits any stores!

Lifesavers are a true original in the CCM and underground Punk movements. Formed in 1981 as The Lifsavors with Mark Krischak-Vocals, Guitar, Mike Knott-guitar, Chris Wimber-Bass, and Kevin Annis-Drums. Released first album "Us Kids" in 1981. Knott soon takes over the band as main song writer and guitarist. 1982 sees the release of the You and Me 7", the first recording with Michael Knott on vocals for the band. Knott recorded the original vocals to the follow up release 1983's "Dream Life", those vocals were scrapped by the rest of the band, later over-dubbed by short term singer Brian Goins and guitarist/keyboardist Kirk Heiner (from Knott Heads on H Fanisite) " Yes, Mike Knott did record the original vocal tracks, after Mike left the band, Brian Goins joined the group and then me. I recorded 6 of the songs and Brian sang 5 of them. We then went on tour but Brian couldn't go, so Mark Krischak the original founder of the Lifesavors joined us for the tour." -Kirk Heiner. Michael gains full control of the band once again, slight change in the name to Lifesavers, and releases the Alternative Rock gem "Kiss of Life" in 1986. The surf rock "Poplife" is released in 1991 with Steve Hindalong from the Choir on drums followed by the hard rockin' "Huntington Beach" in 1995 with members of Aunt Bettys. Lifesavers are writing new material for an upcoming album to be released in 2011 for the bands 30 year anniversary. Peace-Josh
