About this project

My name is Lautaro Gabriel Gonda and I write and direct movies. My last film “Tex: Vampire Hunter” has been screened in several international film festivals.

The title of my next project is “Love and War.” It will be a short narrative exploring the similarities between the two subjects by cutting between two parallel storylines: one in the trenches of World War I and the other in the trenches of romance in the 1920s.

In a muddy hole in WWI our hero suffers a wound and laments a lost love, and in the swanky ‘20s lounge he battles back and forth with various women. He’s a lover and a fighter, damaged but determined. With the help of a beautiful young nurse he heals and returns to the front to face his fate.

We need funding to pay for props, costumes, equipment, transportation, feeding cast and crew, post-production costs (editing and audio mixing), and promoting the film in festivals.

Check out the design book available in PDF form.

We have rewards at many different levels, starting with a signed script, copies of the finished DVD and original score downloads at the low end, up to Executive Producer credit (listed on IMDb.com) and tickets to the premiere at the high end. Check out all the rewards in the column on the right and pick the level that’s right for you. Everyone who contributes will be able to read the updates on the production as it progresses.

Cinematographers: Alex Meader and Connor Hair

One could not ask for a better pair of genius kids with cameras than these two. I’ve worked multiple times with Connor and Alex on other projects, and they consistently turn out beautiful, professional imagery. Check out their demo reels:
