********WOW!! You guys! We met the goal in less than two days!!!!! I am so incredibly overwhelmed! This is amazing. I was really scared everyone would think I was totally annoying and not be interested in this at all. I can't thank you enough. $5,000 was a great start to pay for this record but the business of music costs a lot and it would be so amazing to raise even more money to pay for PROMOTING this record. Hey! Hi there! Fans! Friends! Supporters! Everyone!
It's time for a new record.. So I'm venturing back to my adopted homeland New York to work with my friend the amazing, totally insane (but in the best way) genius Dan Romer. I'm so excited to bring you guys some new music, and I'm especially excited about these group of songs. I want to keep putting out new music for you guys as often as I can but to do that I'm going to need your help.
I'm an independent artist. (I said bye bye to Universal Publishing earlier this year, and also to their money) Being independent has it's benefits. Total creative freedom and control is one thing that rocks pretty hard. One thing that sucks really hard is not having the funds to bring you guys new music. Making records is pretty expensive even when you're doing it on the cheap. Studios, producer fees, hiring musicians, getting the CD's pressed, mixing, mastering, graphic design, photography, and the list goes on and on. But thankfully there is this rad website called Kickstarter.com and that's where YOU come in!
Kickstarter.com is a great company that allows you to raise money for the idea or endeavor of your choice and it keeps everything reeeaal organized. For your kind, sweet, donation you can get some really cool gifts in return! Maybe it's my version of Single Ladies that tickles your fancy, maybe you'd prefer I don't know a brand new iPod Nano with all my music and a whole bunch of songs I haven't ever released, or maybe you've always wanted me to write a song about...I dunno you...and what's goin on with you and stuff. I will do all of those things for you. So, check out the rewards and see which one strikes you as most awesome and DO IT. So besides feeling warm and fuzzy for giving money to a noble cause (me!) you also get awesome stuff. WIN, and another WIN!
