Friends past, present, and future-

We, LEHNEN, are an ambient/electronic rock band from Vienna, Austria. We recently completed our first USA tour in which we played in 20 different cities throughout the country. While on the road, there was a recurring desire from both us and people at our shows for us to return to the US as soon as possible. Obviously, if it were up to us we'd be on tour constantly, but (as one might be able to imagine) touring can be quite costly. Let's get right to it, shall we?

We, along with many goodhearted people we've come to know over the last 6 months, are planning to tour the USA in February and March 2011. As you probably know, flying into the United States from Europe is not cheap. Neither is buying new tires for your band's busted tour-bus. Paying for gas and food with the little money one earns playing concerts can be difficult, too. We are currently in the process of saving each and every penny we have in order to make this tour happen, but we still need your help! We're attempting to raise $2700. This money should enable us to survive out on the road, but it will also help us advocate another passion of ours: water.

On our last tour we were raising funds for an non-profit organization called Charity:Water. Charity:Water focuses on providing towns in developing nations with clean drinking water. Seeing as the lack of access to clean water is still the number 1 cause of death world-wide, this is an issue that is important to both us personally and as a band. By spreading the news among friends and family, and by donating 10% of our merchandise sales, we were able to raise nearly $1,000 for clean water. By helping us go on tour this spring, you'll once again be giving us the opportunity to give 10% of our sales to this more than worthy cause.

Lest you think you won't be getting anything in return for your pledges, we will be giving away rewards to each person who donates. Rewards include Lehnen stickers, buttons, posters, download codes for our most recent album, „Awake“, T-Shirts, free admittance to a Lehnen concert of your choice, and a new, handcrafted, limited edition (150 copies) 3 song EP!

Playing shows with one's band is fantastic, but, for us, this goes beyond our music. It's about using it to inspire people to do good deeds and spread hope. This is our biggest dream.
