About the Film
"Club Racing" is a documentary which will follow several of the CMRA's racers during the 2012 racing season.
The Central Motorcycle Racing Association is a motorcycle road racing club which currently hosts about ten races a year at five races tracks in Texas and Oklahoma.
Through the nine races in 2012, this documentary will follow seasoned veterans Bryan West, Derek Wagnon, Ryan Andrews and Ty Howard, along with the progression of young guns Hayden Schultz, Jay Newton and Wyatt Sperry.
The CMRA has a long and proud history of cultivating extremely competitive motorcycle road racers, and those that come up through its ranks are some of the best in the world.
The video above is simply an example of what the activities of the CMRA look like. "Club Racing" will include in depth interviews, beautiful video of the race bikes used by these world class athletes and of course, exhilerating motorcycle racing footage.
The title "Club Racing" will likely be a working title that will be changed in the future, but you decide! All backers at any denomination will be invited to vote on the name of the film. Choices will be provided by the filmmaker and all backers pledging $75 or more.
About The Riders
Bryan West 955
Along with being a very talented roadracer, West is also the lead singer of Austin, Texas based Metal/Hardcore band "Ready The Messenger." West has raced as a privater in a number of rounds in the AMA professional circuit in the past 7 years.
During the 2012 season, Bryan will race a KTM RC8r in Big Bike Endurance as a member of the SCRC Endurance Team.
Derek Wagnon 111
Wagnon recently became a rider for HSBK Racing, and is currently a full time college student in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Derek plans to race several rounds in the AMA this season with HSBK Racing.
For the 2012 season he will sprint race a Ducati 848 EVO.
Ryan Andrews 481
Along with his long and rich roadracing career, Ryan is a full time employee of Andrews Cycle Works in Waco, Texas. Beginning in 2005, Andrews raced 3 full seasons in the AMA both as a privater and as a rider for a Honda satellite team.
During the 2012 season he will endurance race both a Honda CBR 250r on the Davis Rod and Cycle team (Number 3), and a KTM RC8r on the SCRC team (Number 1). He will also sprint race the CBR 250r and a Pierobon F042 for Honey Badger Racing.
Ty Howard 35
Howard, who holds many track records at Texas road courses, is a KTM Sales Manager based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Ty has raced in the AMA off and on for quite a few years.
In 2012 he will endurance race a KTM RC8r (Number 1) on the SCRC team, and sprint race another KTM RC8r.
