About this project

For those of you that aren't familiar with us, we are Jay Tagg, Ryan Mercedes, Matt Wishnack, Danny Rinaldi and Kyle Ray. We are Lannen Fall. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to read about our Kickstarter project.

This past Summer, while on tour, Jay became sick and was diagnosed with nodes on his vocal chords. Under the doctor's and vocal specialist orders, he was unable to sing for at least 3 months. With a tour booked for the Fall, this created a dilemma for us. Enter Danny Rinaldi. Formerly of Bedlight for Blue Eyes - www.myspace.com/bedlightforblueeyes, Danny brought with him that extra drive to get us past this hump. With the original plan to have Danny be temporary, we set out on the road, promoting our just released 6 song EP, The World Can Wait. While out we became very close with Danny. He had added a whole dimension to our band and with that, the plan for him to be a temporary fixture was thrown out the window. I think we left it somewhere in the Midwest.

While this major change is great for us, it leaves us with a cd that is not an accurate representation of our sound. Hopefully by now you realize where we're going with this.

With your support, we're hoping to re-release our 2009 EP, The World Can Wait, with the new voice of Lannen Fall. To make this re-release a bit more enticing, we'll be adding a brand new song to it. But wait, there's more. Releasing the EP is only the beginning. We want to give the record the push we think it deserves. We are fortunate enough to have caught the attention of publicist Rey Roldan. He has worked with everyone from Britney Spears to Sting to Brooks & Dunn and Yo Yo Ma. He has the ability to push our music to the next level. This will funding includes a campaign with Rey's company Another Rey Bee Production - www.reybee.com

We have set our goal at $8,000. We are attempting to reach our goal by February 10th. We know that $8,000 seems like a lot of money, but compared to what some of your favorite artists have as a budget for their releases, $8,000 is pocket change. As an independent artist, this budget can go a long way!
