It’s abundantly clear by now that we did not make our goal by the deadline. We made it to 33%, which is nothing to sneeze at but also no box of cigars. Or Kleenex. Or pygmy goats. It’s a box of potential. We have a lot of people to thank, regardless.

First, Milli (fearofwriting), whose superb suggestions have given us the framework we are going to use as we re-work, re-think and re-mount our project. It’s wonderful to have such solid support from someone so far away who believes so completely in our work. Milli, you are a delight!

Second, our friend Casey (WhitePhospherus), whose insights prompted so much helpful thought on our parts that we’ve made concrete forward strides in our planning by continually referring to his thoughts on the this page and our blog.

Thanks also to everyone who contributed! Just think, you’ve got a little bit more spending money for the Holidays. We are incredibly grateful to you for your ongoing support.

The irony in our choice of The Landed Gentry as a name for our creative collective should be apparent in that we are not fabulously wealthy.

Friends, please gently but persistently rub this project in the faces of your fabulously wealthy friend(s). Harangue them, but pleasantly. Bully them if you must, but give them tasty treats as you do so. We have 10 hours to go, and you are the only way we are going to make it.

Yes, it will take a miracle. Put the 'ira' in miracle by draining your Roth IRA and giving it to us.
