What is this project?
This is an alternate version of a previously successful deck here on Kickstarter.

When I was first creating this deck I posted an image (see below) of a black and white concept drawing for the deck. People loved it so much they instantly demanded that I produce them. As I was already engaged in developing the full color version of the deck I put off the notion until after all the artwork had been completed.
Now that the original concept is being printed, I can go ahead and approach doing these black and white versions. I recently ran a poll to figure out which deck people liked of the two variations: (white with more grid like structure, or black with more depth). To my surprise, I got an overwhelming response to make both! So here they are :)
What will you do with extra funds?
Any extra funds received will be used to buy uncut sheets of the deck to give to pledges and to create merchandise to commemorate the launch of the deck. Also if enough money is raised, it will be used for professional photography, national advertisements and a video trailer.
How will you notify us of your progress?
There will be regular updates with design changes, new designs for face cards, custom artwork displays, and time-lapsed videos cataloging the creation. They will be posted in the updates section, as well as a bi-weekly progress email.

Yes there are metallic inks on the gears themselves on the back of the card. However, Due to ink saturation concerns, there will not be metallic inks on the faces.

My name is Lance T. Miller and I am a playing card designer and freelance illustrator. I am originally from Maryland, USA moved to Nashville TN where I now live with my wife, two crazy dogs, and a very weird cat. My work has recently graced a deck of Bicycle brand playing cards and I'm on a mission to build a deck designing empire. It is my goal to create a community around deck design and involve the people who buy the decks in the design process. By allowing some creative input from the community, the decks can evolve and take on a new life that we build together.
