About this project

Ellen and I have been working on renovating the abandoned corner lot at Classon Ave & St.Marks Ave in Brooklyn NY, into something nicer than a dog toilet & public trash collector since the first day of spring. We have come quite a ways but have a lot more work we would like to do.

Since starting the project:

We have cleaned up the trash! We have weeded the weeds! We put up a ‘clean up after your dog’ sign! We moved thousands of pounds of concrete rocks around to make room for plants! We landscaped a small part of the lot, just to add some color. (we think it looks great, so far)

We have done what we can with money from our own pockets but we won't be able to do any more on the lot without your help! We are setting our minimum funding goal to $650. So, IF we get $650 we will do what we can, but the lot really needs about $1000 to look great. The money gathered would go toward purchasing top soil/mulch/plants & wood for 2 hand made benches I have designed (much cheaper than buying them). Anything over $650 would be put into the park and would be GREATLY appreciated!!! The more we can raise the better the park will look. If we don't raise the funds, the lot will not be finished :( so PLEASE HELP!

You can learn more about what we have done so far and what our goals are at: http://tinyurbanpark.wordpress.com/

This page will only be up for a short amount of time because if we are going to do the project we have to get the plants in the ground! So, please donate as soon as you can!!!

THANKS SO MUCH!! Lana & Ellen
