Update #5: Important!!! : Good and Bad News...

Hello to everyone that backed the Louisiana Resource Guide project. Sadly, it doesn't seem we will be meeting our goal of $4500, so none of the pledges will be collected. Everything will be as if nothing had happened. Nonetheless, we have been raising funds by presenting the project directly to agencies and organizations, and in doing so we have raised over $10000!! This will allow us to complete development and launch the site.
We still need support in order to advertise and make the LRG known to the public through various channels, so if you would like to donate to the LRG directly, please visit http://www.chewsomeart.com where our development and design site will be hosted until the actual LRG is built.
Thanks for your support, and although it seems we won't make it here on kickstarter.com, the Louisiana Resource Guide will become a reality.

Hola a todos aquellos que apoyaron nuestro proyecto "Louisiana Resource Guide" aqui en kickstarter. Lamentablemente parece que no llegaremos a nuestra meta de us$4500, por lo que ninguna de las donaciones sera efectiva. Igualmente, a nadie se le cobrara ni un centavo, asi que todo sigue como si nada hubiese ocurrido. Sin embargo, hemos estado presentando nuestro proyecto a varias organizaciones y agencias, y en el proceso hemos conseguido mas de us$10000 en fondos!!! Esto nos permitira hacer del Louisiana Resource Guide una realidad!!!
Aun necesitamos su apoyo para poder promover el Louisiana Resource Guide en varios medios, asi que si deseas donar al LRG, esta vez directamente, visita http://www.chewsomeart.com. Update #4: We need to spread the word!!!
The Louisiana Resource Guide fundraiser on kickstarter.com has reached $1070 halway through our set time thanks to your support. Even though it is not bad at all, at this rate it is very unlikely we will make it to our goal, so I propose we tell as many people as we can of this project and convince them to donate from $1 to $5. Small donations are easier to get and we can reach our goal if we spread the word and get enough of them, so please send a link to as many as you can!
Por favor, ayudanos a pasar la voz acerca de nuestro esfuerzo para recaudar fondos en kickstarter.com, ya que aunque $1070 es una cifra genial (alcanzada gracias a su apoyo), a este paso es muy improbable que lleguemos a nuestra meta de $4500. Si convencemos a la gente que conocemos a que aporten de $1 a $5 cada uno, es probable que lleguemos a la meta. Asi que, por favor, ayudanos a regar la voz!!!
Update #3: Interview Telemundo - New Orleans on LRG
Telemundo New Orleans aired an interview about my work with the LRG, and how it will benefit the community, in this specific case, how it can help the Latin community. This was part of a series of stories on Hispanics making a difference in the city. In spanish, hopefully I will have it subtitled soon.

This site is a little outdated, since I have spent most of my time trying to get support for the LRG and designing the actual site. Still, you can learn more about the LRG and how it will work. I will update the site as soon as this college semester is over.
