The Pitch: On March 3rd, 2011, our first full production entitled, Harry and Pep' will open at CenterStage NY in New York City. 'Harry and Pep' written by Daniela Mastropietro has been developed completely within the LabRats company. Using our weekly company meetings and semi-annual public readings series entitled, ‘the experiment sessions’. The LabRats are finally ready to share the hard work of the company with the world, but we need your help.

Where the money will go: With your generous donations we can make the world of Harry and Pep come to life. Everything from materials for the set design to paper to print for the press release, each dollar that you donate will help an element of this play move from the page to the stage. Money raised from Kickstarter will also help fund the continued development of new plays current being created by The LabRats.

A little about the play: It’s 1947. Agoraphobia and fear of laughter has set Harry back a few years. The day has come when his wife, Mish, has had it with his antics and kicks him out of the house, leaving him crippled with fear. Harry’s perception of himself and his love for his wife and the world are drastically altered when he finally steps outside. By helping his friend Pep, Harry re-learns courage through loyalty, camaraderie, and love while teaching Pep to be a good man. Harry & Pep has heart aching characters in a snappy old New York that may or may not have been.
