My Mission
I am thrilled to finally be working on my first Christmas album! My hope is to inspire people to think about their unique gifts and talents and how they might passionately use them to honor God and serve others this Christmas season.
About the Project
The CD will include many favorites, such as “The Little Drummer Boy,” “Mary, did you know?” “Silent Night,” and many more. I am also especially excited about the four new original songs that will be on the album! “Earthly Father,” for example, is told from the perspective of Joseph, the Father of Jesus, at the end of his life, reflecting upon his first Christmas.
I have composed and arranged most of the music in an acoustic style that always features violin/fiddle. The trio vocal sound of my band, Horseshoe Road, is for sure going to be present, but here will also be tracks that are just solo violin and solo voice. As a special addition to this compilation of styles, the album will feature a fantasy by Callen Clarke for solo violin, choir, bell choir, brass choir and organ, based on “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” and “Carol of the Bells.”
The Details
Funding for this project will go towards: production costs, new equipment needed for the studio, royalties for cover songs (all of your favorites!), photography, graphic design and replication of the project (i.e., making the CDs!).
With your help I can make this project great, and we can have some fun along the way! Every dollar will be going into this album. And if I happen to raise more than my goal, then maybe I'll be able to buy a new computer...or to market my music! Either way please join me in this creative endeavor.
