The time has come for us to pack up and ship out all of the rewards from our wildly successful Kickstarter campaign.  Thanks to you all we were not only able to create a limited edition collection of hats (our first from Peru!), but you also helped serve as a catalyst to our blossoming new program in South America.  We can't wait to update you on the impact this program continues to have on the community we're working in.

Thanks also for your patience.  We had hoped to get them out earlier than our estimated delivery date of November 2011, but we are instead just meeting the goal we had set for ourselves and for you.  We can't wait to get these hats in your hands.

The limited-edition Kickstarter hats are being finished and ready to ship!  They will land back here at KKi HQ in California, we'll pack them up and send them on their way around the world to you all!  We'll keep you posted when they ship.

Thanks again for your support throughout the process.  The ladies we are working with in Peru are signing each hat they make and building the confidence and skills to rewrite their futures.

Hi Everyone!

We wanted to update you on the progress of the limited-edition Kickstarter hats.  First of all, congratulations to those of you who pledged while the project was still open.  You will be receiving a one-of-kind product (or products :) ).  For those of you trying to pledge to Kickstarter still, it's unfortunately not an option.  There will be more opportunities to purchase hats from Peru, so stay tuned.

We are working hard at Krochet Kids Peru to train on hat-making, while at the same time welcoming our first beneficiaries into the diverse aspects and benefits of our programs.  Due to the overwhelming demand of your support we have brought our initial beneficiary group in Peru from 5 to 10 women!  Training is taking slightly longer than expected but we are planning to ship hats in November as set out in the "estimated delivery" of the project.  It's looking like it will be the latter part of November, but we'll keep you posted as to the exact date.

We'll be launching a more generic style on our website in November as well, so keep an eye out for it... http://krochetkids.org
