LAST NIGHT ON DIVISION – a new album by Kristen Ward
My name is Kristen Ward. I am an independent singer-songwriter based in Seattle Washington and I am currently working on my fourth album.
For over 3 years I have worked toward the dream of recording this rock-n-roll album, “Last Night On Division”. In the Spring of 2011, my stars began to align when I caught the attention of legendary rock producer Terry Date. Terry has recorded and produced hard-rock bands including Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, the Deftones, Pantera, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Smashing Pumpkins and many many more. I shared with him a collection of songs I had put together. Our connection was instantaneous despite the fact that working together would be a creative stretch for us both, due to the difference in our style and musical backgrounds.
Hidden away between Seattle’s famous Studio X and Terry’s home studio, we spent our summer tracking 13 songs. The experience was totally incredible to say the least. The recordings that came out of those studios were electric. Absolutely inspired and totally honest. They are, well, AMAZING!
I can say without a doubt, this album displays my best and most evocative work yet. It has been a major step forward for me as a recording artist to work with a producer who pushed both my band and me to our greatest potential. I can’t tell you how excited I am to finish this album and get it into the hands of my fans.
Unfortunately we are out of cash. We need to raise the money to get back into the studio to finish this album.
This is where you come in.
Making albums is EXPENSIVE! Studio time is $500-$1000 a day. The costs involved in hiring an engineer, mixing, mastering, designing artwork and pressing the album are unbelievable.
At this point I am looking to raise $15,000.
I actually need to raise more than that, but I wanted to set an attainable goal that I can reach with your help.
But here is the catch....
Kickstarter is an "ALL OR NOTHING" fund-raising platform!
That means IF I DON'T REACH MY GOAL OF $15,000, I DON'T GET ANYTHING...NOT A PENNY!!!!!
