Krissy Leigh, a 24 year old modern day gypsy originating in Virgina, is a singer songwriter whose music inspires a traveling heart, adventurous spirit & creative soul. She was born on the coast of Virginia Beach and has since lived in Atlanta, Santa Monica, Orlando & is currently residing in Nashville.
"My reason for writing music is not to 'make it' or be the 'next big thing', I write because I believe that there is an infinite amount of healing when you have the courage to be honest and creative with your emotions & experiences. Everyone has a story worth telling. My hope is that people will relate to my songs, find healing, feel less alone & eventually find the strength to share their own stories."
Krissy grew up around music. Her mother sang alto in the church choir. "I was mesmerized by the way my mom harmonized. Her voice was so silky smooth. I remember when I was 4 years old I asked my mom to teach me how to 'sing like that'. She simply turned the music up and told me to listen & 'feel it'. Ever since then, singing & harmonizing has been a favorite."
Krissy has always been creative whether it be photography, graphic design, writing poetry or music. She started song writing in high school as a personal creative outlet with no intentions of publicizing her music. It wasn't until recently, after being encouraged by friends and family, that she decided to share it.
"My hope is to be a sort of Indian Summer in the music world. Ya know? Like an unexpected warm and sunny part of your day."
