Hi Backers & Friends,

We shipped the first batch of QuNeos yesterday. V 1.0 of Software Editor (OSX, WinXP and Win7), Documentation, and the OSC Bridge are available for download: at: http://www.keithmcmillen.com/qunexus/downloads/

It is the first controller that has made me like keyboards. Everybody at KMI did stellar work and we all feel it turned out pretty darn great.

We will keep shipping units regularly until you all have your QuNexus. This will take a couple weeks as we are inspecting and several people are playing each one. 

I would really appreciate you being wonderfully patient just a bit more - delayed gratification and all that - by not deluging our sales and accounting people with "When will I get mine?". I appreciate your excitement but this only slows us up. If your address has changed let us know. 

So thanks again for your support and we really want to hear some new music after all this. Send us what you are doing and record the first sessions. QuNexus is an instrument that will grow with you, but there is never going to be that initial crazy experience of Wow as the first time you fire it up.

Hi Backers,

Happy to report the first 55 QuNexi are FedExing their way here. Hundreds more will follow this week as we ramp up production. 

We will inspect and play each of the units in Berkeley to make sure they are perfect. Then we will send them to you in the order of your backing date. So early birds should start to see them next week. 

We will be including a toll free number with each unit so you can call us directly if you have any questions or concerns. We want to make sure you are totally satisfied and excited by this new instrument.

Hi Everybody,

We are postponing the production ramp up until Thursday. We have received two batches of 10 units each and they are very very close. But we have some stringent demands on performance and we need a few more days to dial this in.

We are talking about a couple of a thousandths of an inch difference that we are after and, in fact, most people would never notice. But we have hit this performance objective in all of our other products and we will do so again with the QuNexus.

Hi Everyone. 

I keep hearing that it is April already. Just finished my taxes so it is either April or October. But work has never stopped.

We are at the final and most fun stage of building a new product. Just how fast will it go? Lots of final tweaks to performance and manufacturability. We are building units in Berkeley matching the same methods that are used by our partner companies in China.

We will converge this Thursday and be able to compare units made in both facilities on Monday-Tuesday the 15 - 16th. We should be in good shape if we have a match. And we should have a match.

To date we have made over 25 QuNexi by hand, many are in Beta Test by artists and experts. This includes our in house talent Carson and Shani. I'll let our marketing people send you comments and pictures from the testers.

The software is in great shape and could go out next week. Very proud of the flexibility and robustness Nick, Conner, Dan, Sarah and Diane have achieved.

The manual is in good form and Sarah will get this posted in the next 48 hours. Matt and Dustin are busy making tutorial videos and Diane and Steve are working with numerous Integration Partners so QuNexus will work wonders right from the box (you know, the boxes you made fun of last update).

Barring any catastrophe(s) we will start regular production April 22nd-ish. It will not take long to make and test several hundred units. They will be Federally-Expressed to Berkeley where we will do 100% inspection and ship to you.

Everything under our control is going according to schedule. Sometimes things just happen though - check out the picture of " uNexus". The mind boggles. Can a missing Q in China cause a rainstorm in New York? And will that rainstorm delay a plane with a celebrity on board?
