It has been a few days now.  Since the big win.  It happened on our practiced night.  At kLoB practice, we got the news.  Unbelievable.  The big win.

And so, reflection...

We got one.  All of us.  Over 125 backers took kLoB to the Championships, and in the last minutes of the 4th quarter, we pulled it out.  All-Stars came on strong, we called them "the whales," and every backer's dollar was crucial.  Every penny, Guy, was important!

What a &%*^$&# team we have! 

We are so grateful, and so excited, and so bulging to make this video!

$12,034 in 45 days.

Wow.  We are almost to the end of this incredible undertaking.  First, I was excited to hear the team wanted to make a video.  Then, I was stoked about their use of Kickstarter to try and raise the funds.  Then, I was blown away by the amount they wanted to go for.  I just never thought we would even come close.  Instead, we have come really close.  And there just may be a few tricks up the sleeves of the powers that be that may swoop down and finish this thing out. 

From me, Kip, first and foremost - I am completely honored by all of the support.  You guys are reaching out to help this band continue to do great things.  Even amongst the stress and challenges this complicated planet can present, you all have made the time to reach out and give.  Again, I am touched.  In a completely safe and socially correct kind of way, I am touched.

As if the drive for Battleship could really get any better... it does.

The Wizard (Kip's Dad, lives in the desert, makes cool stuff, Big John...) has added a special touch of his own.

It's like buying one of us a beer.  Just a simple beer, on a cold, stormy night.  Alone and off the beaten path, at some lost tavern, a traveler enters, and shakes the water off his jacket.  With a nod, the bartender pours not one, but two pints of the perfect draught, and the strangers glance at each other.....
