We have been busy making more samples and fine tuning every detail so we are lined up to get the pens out to everyone on-time in September as expected. We are humbled to have everyone join together and help us make the most refill-friendly pen ever in human history.

INTERNAL SPRING IMPROVEMENT
We want to make sure that nobody would lose the custom tension spring or have it fall out when changing refills. So, we will decided to permanently attach it to the inside of the pen so it never falls out and/or gets lost. This is a simple, yet major improvement that makes the pen even easier to use, doesn't interfere with any back plug accessories, and eliminates the need for you to worry about losing the tension spring! It will silently do it's job without you ever have to think twice about it. :-)
1,000 FACEBOOK "Likes"
Everyone has been doing a great job helping meet the stretch goal of getting 1,000 "likes". We know not everyone has a facebook account and wanted to let everyone know that anybody can click the "like" button on the main page and help us get to 1,000 likes. It not limited to only the project backers, it can be your friend, cousin, mom, or anyone just checking out the project that wants to help us reach the 1,000 "like"goal so everyone will get 1 free back plug!
REFILL-NINJA PENS
We wanted to let everyone see what a few of the most popular refills look inside the pens so we took a picture. We don't have time to take a photo of every single refill inside at the moment but hope to do so in the future and make one huge panoramic to show. That will be fun. Be sure to check out the photo of the 3 refills attached below.
THIS IS ONE EXCITING JOURNEY
Thanks again for everyone's strong support and for joining us on this exciting journey. It's pretty special that very soon, we will all be able to share with people that because we all joined together, we were able to bring a pen to life that changes people's expectations of how many refills a luxury pen should be able to fit inside. I absolutely love the choice to rely on threads in the removable parts. I think this pen will feel more significant than other pens mostly because of that feature. But, that got me wondering, isn't the sky the limit here? How many other things can we possibly screw on to our Titanium pens? Might it be possible for you to also develop a line of tools that can utilize the back, or maybe even the front threads for interchangeable utility? I was looking at your past projects and wondered if something along the lines of the hobby-knife of the PHX-1. I can think of a ton of things that would be useful to screw on the pen. Do you plan on designing anything more than just a stylus and a back plug to screw on to the pen? This is possibly the most versatile pen ever designed already. I am very excited to get mine!

The threads are actually part of the barrel so the do not come off. The top part of the cap is also permanent and does not come off. Thanks for taking time to write us and for backing the project!

This is great. Amazing even. We designed a sweet pen in an engineering class, but I never thought something like this would become a reality. Awesome job!
Question though: I'm thinking about modding it and attaching a white gold clasp with a created sapphire or ruby, or maybe a cabochon on top to add some subtle color; what is the thread size of the cap next to the clip? Or is that the part that is not removable?

The coating is very durable and is made in a way very similar to how knifes are coated and colored. The color will not come off easily.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to receiving my pen. Still have a little concern regarding the flat plugs: You said they were designed to easily open them using a coin - won't the black finish be damaged after a while?
