About this project

*UPDATE* Yes, we are funded. We made the goal. It's awesome. But, the goal is just the minimum we need. There are still expenses that we would really like to cover and with your help, we can do just that!

Thank you for taking a few seconds to check out "Delivery". We hope you give us your lunch money.

Where's the Money Going?

All of money pledged will go to equipment rental, Art and Wardrobe expenses, and feeding the poor souls that volunteered their time to this slave driver.

Previous Work

Everyone involved shoots comedy. Our most recent effort was with The Oregon Trail movie trailer. Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Synopsis

George hates his job. Wishing for the life of cooking great cuisine, George's food delivery job is anything but "the dream". It's more like a canal-sized rut only to be filled with his dead body. But that's being dramatic. The reality is, this is just a boring, dead-end job that teases bill collectors with its minimum wage. But it can't be that boring of a job. You're meeting new people every time you knock on the door. Surely, some of those people have to be funny, charming, or somewhat interesting? That could be the case. Or they could all be kinda nuts.

"Delivery" is a 6-episode short comedy series featuring the exchange of money for goods between George and his customers in one late night shift. At least that's the goal. Honestly, some of these people have more on their mind than paying the pizza boy. Some are hiding creepy secrets and spare change in pinatas, or disposing of people for improper grammer, even solving issues of infidelity with soured sex toys. And sadly for George, bat shit crazy doesn't always tip.

Format

As much as I love web series as a medium, I hate watching it. Sounds stupid, right? It's pretty stupid. But, I find habits on Internet are quite ADD. I only have a couple of minutes to sit and stare at my monitor before my fingers get upset with the lack of attention diverted their way. So before too long, I'm clicking around to other things, letting the video play in the background, and basically lose interest. This is a huge issue for web series creators caught between the old TV model of 22 minute episodes and the Youtube limit of 10. For lots of people, long episodes are a huge turnoff.

So why be so long? Can't we tell a story that's unique to the medium of Internet and embraces it's "starving, starving, FULL!" mentality as well? Well we can. We aim for smaller episodes. 1:30 max, hopefully less than that. Sounds brief, yes? Good. Maybe not you could fit it into your schedule. [Life, you guys. It's hard.] But short duration doesn't mean easy filming. There are plenty of short series that use the same location, same costumes, same actors. Each episode of "Delivery" is an entirely different setting with new customers.

Conclusion

Oh wow, you made it this far. Well, thanks for reading all this. Now helps us pay them bills.
