WHO ARE YOU GUYS?
If there's anything you need to know about Kinky Creature, it's that we play rock & roll. There are some other things you would probably like to know, however, such that we are a group of hardworking musicians with a large amount of combined experience. What is this experience? In prior bands we’ve played with great groups such as Dan Deacon, of Montreal and Paper Tongues. You might also be interested to know that with our past project, The Fifth Business, we played dozens of shows and independently put out two CDs on our own. Now with Kinky Creature, we have the chance to make an EP in a professional studio with an incredibly talented producer.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
While Kinky Creature is a new project, we have been presented with the amazing opportunity to work with producer Kyle "Slick" Johnson. Based out of Fancy Time Studio in Philadelphia, Kyle has worked as an engineer with bands such as Modest Mouse, The Hives, Wavves, and recently produced Cymbals Eat Guitars album Why There Are Mountains. We're putting every last dime we have into recording, but unfortunately we can't cover the expenses alone. That's why we're asking for your support: help us make a great recording with an incredibly talented producer.
WHERE’S MY MONEY GOING, FELLAS?
We need help raising money to put out a five-track EP, which we intend to record in late January. Your donation would strictly cover the costs of hiring Kyle as a producer, as well as the costs of recording, mixing, and mastering the EP. Travel expenses to Philadelphia will come out of our own pocket and If we’re lucky enough to go beyond our goal that extra amount will help go towards PR costs.WHAT IF YOU ONLY MEET PART OF YOUR GOAL?
Your hard earned cash will only be donated if we meet our full goal, otherwise nothing comes out of your pocket. This is why it’s so crucial for supporting friends and family to pass this project on. We know we can make a great recording, but we can't do it without you. Your support is crucial, and we are beyond grateful for your help. We are open to a wide range of songs and want to work with you to pick something that makes sense. Remember, we are 3 musicians (guitar/vocals, bass, drums) and generally play rock and roll. We are happy to record standard or obscure tunes, including something you wrote yourself, but keep in mind that there must be a recording available for us to use as a guide. Also please note that this will be a live recording with similar quality to "Mr Michael" above. Thanks, and make us play some tunes!

Per Kickstarter's policy, if we don't achieve our goal of $3000 we will not receive any funding. Therefore, it's imperative that we work hard to reach it. Your help is truly appreciated and needed to do this, it's as easy as posting the link to Facebook and Twitter, or sending an email to a friend.
