News from the land of Kinetic Creatures
Hello Everyone!
We have a new round of updates to share with lots of pics of what we have been up to! We are also incredibly excited to tell you that we are very close to shipping out your Kinetic Creatures! We are coordinating 10+ companies- so if everyone could please cross their fingers (and toes!) we should be shipping at the end of this week or next week! Wahoo!
Also please fill out the email survey if you haven’t. We need your shipping information and want you to receive your Kinetic Creatures so that you can start building, making and playing!!

Here is the die-cut tool for Geno the Giraffe’s head and neck! (it is essentially a wooden board with carefully formed razor sharp metal strips that are surrounded by red rubber cushion- they then act like a huge cookie cutter on the die-cut press- cool!)
Here are the animals- all 21,000 pieces of cardboard- there's 16 pallets total!
and a round of applause for the amazing machine that cut them all...
Here is our 400 lb laser cutter that we affectionately named Elsee that we personally cut 12,000 wooden Motor Kit pieces in our house- yup that’s right 12,000...
Here is Lucas and I on our non-stop soldering journey... 2,000 points of contact + 2 determined Makers= lots of fun for soon to be Kinetic Creature Motor Kit Owners!
Label Sneak-Peek: Here we are approving the proofs of the labels that we designed- such a great day! It was fun to put on our Creative Hats again and Design!! and then to see the results- Wahoo! Can’t wait for all of you to see them too!
In the midst of our non-stop busyness, we had the opportunity to be a part of the first PDX Maker Faire and the XOXO Festival! Amazing time- if there is a Maker Faire in your area we highly recommend you check one out- (or make one happen!) :)

Congratulations on a brilliant project. This is a fantastic example of the value of Kickstarter. It could not be done without crowd sourcing and the net. Thanks for the great pics and updates. As a maker myself, it's very interesting to see inside the factories where you are creating the parts. Behind the scenes are always good. Send us more of that when you get a chance. Thanks very much.
