About this project

Quest to Nowhere: Summer Days is my capstone thesis project for graduate school. It's actually the last thing left I have to do to complete my Masters program. Q2N:SD is to be a comic book point-and-click adventure videogame I'll be making in Flash. Which is to say that it will play as if you are reading a comic book, but every so often then comic will stop and the player/reader will need to solve a puzzle within the comic in order to open up more of the comic and progress the story.

The money for the project will mostly be going to an artist friend of mine, who I plan to hire to draw the actual comic pages (concept art at the bottom of this description, and in the video too.) The writing, programming, and other whatnots I am doing myself. Whatever extra is left will go towards paying some of my graduate school bills (so I can have some money left when it's over.) If the goal is exceed, depending by how much, I might have her draw some additional things that will be exclusive to those that donate.

The story takes place in a fantasy style world of my own creation, and follows two characters Eia and Aisri (or Iz for short.) Eia is a sorceress who woke up at about age 10 without any memories of who she was or where she came from. Iz is an assassin who recently joined up to travel with Eia, after the two met and quickly hit it off as friends. The comic will go more into their back story, so I'll leave the description of it as that for now.
