I want to print 300 copies of my children’s picture book, The Three Eyed Dragon. Based on the text of my original Kid Kazooey song by the same name, the book brings my storysong to life with 32 vibrant illustrations by the artist Joe Lee.
To have them printed locally (Bloomington, IN's Mr. Copy) will cost $2266 (32 page paperbacks with glossy card stock cover and 28lb paper inside. Book size 7x8.5").
Funds raised will offset the printing of 300 books. I will cover all further needed costs. Any funds raised over the estimated goal will first go towards the rest of the printing ($516), then offsetting the production costs of the accompanying CD (Kid Kazooey & The BallRoom Roustabouts’ Umpteen Moons. $450 needed for duplicating), and/or rental of the event space where Book/CD release party is planned for Sunday, April 1, 2012 ($450). If even more is raised, then we'll decide to print more books!
The book is now in its last few days of being formatted for the printer, by the typographer, Smythe Productions.
