Khanwood Clarke: The Country Album and The Death Cult Country Band
Hi, I'm King Khan. I'm assembling a serious country band with two of the wildest members of my Death Cult—two of the best musicians I know, Jeff Clarke and Sean Wood... a sort of new-generation Highwaymen. And I want to record an album with them at my recording studio, Moon Studios, in Berlin.
Jeff is from the band Demon's Claws. His songs are reminiscent of Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings—his voice, a bit Willie Nelson. My songs are more reminiscent of Lee Hazelwood and Johnny Cash, adding a bit of psyche to the classic tradition of the murder ballad and the lonesome gunfighter anthem.
Sean, from The Spits, is the missing link in this project. Our country salvation. He's our Bocephus—our Phoenix Rising from the ashes of punk. He is the ranch dressing we need to make this the best salad ever.
The Bottom Line: We need to fund Sean's trip to Germany so that we can record. And pronto, Tonto. Please help Kickstart our hearts.
