I'm probably pressing my luck. I mentioned last time every time I post an
update I gain a new backer or some raises their backing. Happened again. No I'm
up to 28% backed or $156 of $555.
I've even looked at other projects for ideas and maybe to back myself. But
whenever I look at the rewards, I get turned off. I don't see the appeal is
spending $5-$10 for a pdf. If I spend cash I want something physical, but
that's just me.
Now I'm going to try and impress people and show them just how much you get
from this. I'll use the second lowest backer as an example. The lowest is $1,
so while every dollar helps, the rewards are very limited. Although you do get
to read it for $1.
$25 is the second lowest backing (Thank You so much).
For spending $25 he gets the following.
- $1 Thanks in the book
- $1 PDF copy of the book
- $5 Modern Hood book marks.
- $5 Sketch book featuring
Joseph's untouched pencils signed by Joseph.
- $10 preview issue (24) pages.
Signed by myself (Writer), Maria (Colorist) and David (Convention cover
artist)
- $15 Growing Pains signed by
me and inker Henrik Horvath, plus the original comic pitch that was sent
to publishers. (Signed by the team Me, Joseph Henrik) (Maria did not work
on the original submission, she will not sign it and I won't ask the
original colorist)
- $20 The convention cover made
as a print and signed by myself, David & Maria.
- $25 the book and print signed
by everyone including David..
That's a hell of a lot of goodies.
The grand daddy reward ($30) is a Shell Shade style print Joseph did signed
by everyone.
To be honest, I was hoping if this was a success it might just be a couple
people backing $30. I didn't think it would be popular. I was thinking it'd be
mainly $10 backing at the most. Someone backed $100. I might need to try and
add more rewards for the higher backers. I just don't know what I can pull off
while still keeping Kick Starter useful to this project.
Again, regardless of the outcome, thanks for the support.
