The Grid is an epic new web series centered around government operative Nathan Stone. When disaster strikes and Nathan is confronted with his most dangerous foe, he has no choice but to come out on top. But this time, the rules are different and the stakes are higher then ever. What will the Grid have in store and where will Nathan find himself when the dust settles?
An ambitious undertaking, Kevin Keiser and Kevin Sebastian set out to create a web series that would send shockwaves through a wide audience base. Looking to create something as thrilling as 24, mixed with films like Minority Report and the Bourne series, The Grid came to form. After completing the script for the Pilot episode and allowing some industry players to look it over,the Kevins realized they could have something incredible on their hands. They also knew it was going to take more than just their blood, sweat, and tears to make this pilot happen.
After contemplating going so far as to sell his motorcycle to get this project off the ground, Keiser was turned on to kickstarter.com, which brings us to NOW. We plan on shooting The Grid in the first weeks of May 2011. With the advent of HDSLR cameras, Kevin Keiser has been shooting and studying their vast capabilities, realizing their potential in the future of independent production. Their cinematic quality is only rivaled by cameras ten times the price. Small and portable, they will really make a big difference in shooting the Grid.
Luckily, with their contacts in the industry, The Grid has a myriad of crew members passionately working on the project for free. No one is getting a check from this, but we do need funding for equipment, locations, costumes, props, and all the other staples that will make this series come to life.
We plan on entering The Grid into the NY Television Festival this June in hopes it will be picked up by a network and turned into a long form series. Once the Pilot is shot and completed, we will also shop it around to various websites for distribution, as well as launching it on its own web page where viewers can come back to to watch subsequent episodes. With outstanding production quality and an excitingly engaging script, The Grid is slated to take the web by storm.
