A photo book to be published in connection with Ken Rosenthal's exhibition, "Retrospective", at Wall Space Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA
I am a fine-art photographer based in Tucson, Arizona. My work explores the intersection of personal and collective memories, particularly as they relate to photography, and is a merging of the autobiographical and the universal. I need help from the Kickstarter community to raise funding to produce and print the first publication of my photographs, an overview of the last ten years of my work. This catalogue will be released in connection with an exhibition of my photographs entitled "Retrospective", which opens in October, 2011, at Wall Space Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA. I have crafted a tight edit of my strongest work for this collection, which will feature an introduction by Rebecca Senf, Ph.D, Norton Family Curator, Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, Arizona. It will be printed in a small edition of only 500 softbound copies. A special limited edition of 50 numbered copies accompanied by a toned silver gelatin print will also be available. The limited edition is being designed and produced by Jace Graf of Cloverleaf Studio in Austin, Texas.

Yes, I do. I am a self-professed darkroom geek, and I take great pride in my printing. I print on a high quality fiber based paper, and all prints are processed to archival standards. My prints go through several different toning baths, and I also employ some selective toning and bleaching with potassium ferricyanide. Due to the nature of my toning process, each print I produce is unique: no two prints will be exactly the same.
