We're Kenny & Seena, and SoundSlug (http://www.soundslug.com) is an audio-tech startup based out of Northern California. We're a duo of college students that want to change the way you access audio. We spend alot of time making music, producing beats, and remixing songs, and we realize just how hard it can be to get the audio clips that you want. After running into countless problems trying to save audio your computer plays, we decided that it was time to create a tool to increase our "music infastructure." If you look at the majority of audio now-a-days, it is moving towards the direction of being streamed online. The slug is a valueable tool for this new form of audio and is uselful for countless applications.
The SLUG, is a portable keychain used to record audio being played by your computer, or any external devices (such as MP3 players or mobile phones). The $25 pledge gets you this item and it comes with a few accessories, such as a high quality bendable keychain and an adapter for the small percentage of computers with irregular spacing. Basically, If you see your headphone and microphone port grouped together on your computer, the slug will work!
The software that comes with the SLUG automatically splits up tracks based on silence, so you can leave a playlist of music playing that is free to public domain, and come back to whole folder of separated MP3s/WAVs. There is also a feature which deletes recordings under a certain length. Altogether the software is extremely simple yet allows users to adjust preferences for specific applications.The software records at a seemingly loss less level of sound. so what you hear streaming is exactly what you hear as a saved file. Quality was one of our biggest accomplishments with this software as audio you are listening to and saved audio are indistinguishable.
The software works on all platforms including Mac, Windows, and Linux and comes pre-loaded on our SLUGCARDS, or is available to download from our site using a promotional code you will receive with the SLUG.
We would also like to point out that all of our products are well past the prototype phase and waiting for the OK to finish production, so everything you see here is exactly what you will receive. We need a first substantial order to keep the prices at a minimum so everyone can enjoy these products.

We should also point out that we do not condone the recording of copy-written material, sites like Grooveshark, Pandora, and Spotify are the main influences to show that a tremendous amount of audio is moving in the direction of being streamed, however the SLUG is not for these specific uses. The software is only use able if the user agrees to the terms and conditions of the product, Which includes only recording audio samples that are free to public domain or the user has the rights to.

Kenneth Gibbs is the co-founder of SoundSlug, an audio tech startup. SoundSlug is developed from concept to design by both Kenneth and Seena Zandipour. Growing up in a suburban community, Kenneth spent most of his time helping his father restore automobiles. At a young age, Kenneth discovered he had a keen eye for design. Starting with the build of a fully functioning miniature chopper at age 13, from there he moved onto restoring classic cars, soldering electronic circuit boards, inventing and creating products, and is now in the process of earning his engineering degree. The experiences and talents acquired at an early age have clearly carried to his adult life, and will continue to inspire his vision in both design and functionality.
