Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on October 16, 2012.

Funded!!!

Update #2 · Sep 20, 2012 · 7 comments

Thank you everyone for your backing, we just crossed the funding threshold!!!  And in only three days!  I'm truly greatful to all of you and thank you all for the great feedback that you've provided.

The initial 10K was the bare minimum to get the initial set of boards built - now that we're passed that I can't wait to share with you all the next steps we have planned, there are some very cool things coming that will make this platform so much better.

There hasn't been much press so far on the project, none of the major blogs / tech sites have run any stories on this yet - and I need help spreading the word to continue this to grow.  If we can build more traction and get more backers, we'll be able to really expand the possibilites for this platform and get out some mindblowing peripherals!  So please help spread the word if you can.

Look for a major project update at the end of the weekend, we'll be announcing several new shields and add ons, if you have any ideas of things you'd like to see, please post it on the comments section of the project.  I've also have a number of potential projects and will be posting some ideas / example projects - if anyone has ideas for how they are planning on using the TinyDuino / TinyLily, please post them to the comments section, everyone would love to hear what you're up to!

Thanks again - can't wait to get these boards in your hands soon!

Ken

@Shamus Rask, perhaps they can find a way to build or buy a connector like the old PCIMCIA modems: http://www.baber.com/support/images/pcmcia_modem.jpg

Also, I've submitted this to Engadget for their Insercoin section, hopefully it gets in. :)

Shield request: Ethernet with PoE! Would provide both connectivity as well as power... RJ45 jack could be positioned vertically; understand it would have to be the "top" shield due to spacing issues.
