About this project
I've been working on my upcoming 4th solo album release (Halo Of Blue) for the past year with Michael Bellar and The As-Is Ensemble based out of New York, NY. I'm so close to being finished, but I've tapped out every personal resource I have financially. I can only finish this album w/ your help!
With the $ earned from this kickstarter fundraising project, I plan to go back to NYC and finish mixing and mastering the remaining 10 songs yet to be completed, followed by paying for all the artwork, duplication and promotion that is needed to help make this album the best it can be.

Kellin Watson is a nationally-touring singer-songwriter, whose award-winning sound blends elements of blues, pop, folk, and soul. Hailing from Asheville, NC, Kellin draws on her Appalachian roots to bring both power and rawness to her music. She has performed with/opened for artists including: Amos Lee, Little Feat, Susan Tedeschi, The Duhks, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and has also been a featured performer on CMT (CMT's Big Break). Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, called Kellin "a rare uncommon talent" whose "songs have the ability to take someone gently by the wrist and tell them a story." Kellin is currently working with musician/producer Michael Bellar on her fourth CD - a simple, honest and stripped down recording with echoes of her strongest influences: Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, and Nina Simone.
