A 5-lb bag of limited edition Industrial Harvest flour from the project. I will ship to backers outside the Chicago and Seattle metro areas; backers inside these areas will need to come pick it up at one of the project events. Your choice, all-purpose white unbleached or whole wheat pastry flour. Because I'm getting it from a gigantic grain elevator in Chicago, it will unfortunately not be organic, but it'll be made with love. You'll also be acknowledged on the project website.

Comes with 5 lbs of flour and acknowledgement in the recipe booklet and on the project website.
Pledge $2,000 or more Pledge $2,000 or more
A special field trip related to the project – perhaps you’d like to go with me to pick up the wheat at a gigantic grain elevator in Chicago, or perhaps you're interested in seeing the inside of a flour mill. IMPORTANT: If you want these rewards, speak up early! Wheat pickup and milling will happen in the last 2 weeks of June and I won't have total control over timing, so contact me if you have questions. Comes with 5 lbs of flour, and acknowledgement in the recipe booklet and on the project website.

I am an artist and urban planner whose work crosses discipline and medium to cultivate a dialogue about community, culture, and the world around us. I'm a born & bred Midwesterner, raised in back-to-the-land style in rural Ohio in the 70s. I now live in Seattle after stints in the mountains of Virginia & Pennsylvania, Washington DC, the Czech countryside, and Brooklyn (hello, Gowanus!). I have a masters' degree in urban planning and work part time for a small firm that does research on walkable communities - kind of like being part of a for-profit think tank.
My dual career has allowed me to take on a pretty wide variety of creative, academic, and political pursuits and experiences. I've shown my studio artwork at numerous venues around Seattle, have been published in academic and non-academic publications, and served on boards for government and nonprofit organizations. The Industrial Harvest project is part of a body of temporary public work that intersects artistic practice with community, science and research. yes, Heather, I am likewise very glad, relieved and appreciative! Did we meet at Sunday Dinner, or did you find out about the project elsewhere? I went through my email list (which is admittedly disorganized) but didn't find your name. Anyway, THANKS, THANKS THANKS. I will be in touch as soon as Kickstarter gives me your email address (presumably after the campaign ends on the 11th, or feel free to get in touch with me before then).
Thanks to ALL of you who have donated. Seeing your names pop up in my email as donors boosts my spirits every time! Now that the goal has been reached, I'll be getting in touch to find out what kind of flour you want & details of getting that flour to you...
xxxooo!
