It's here, it's here! Closer is Katie Todd's 4th studio album, and she can't wait to share it with you. She's already spent her own money to get the album produced, and now she has three goals:

• To get this album out to you as fast as possible.
• To do some kick-ass marketing.
• To put together a house tour to end all house tours.

Katie has played with the big guys (Patti LaBelle, Sarah McLachlan) on the big stages (House of Blues, Lilith Fair, Lollapalooza), but her true passion is getting her music out to as many people as possible. The road to Closer was a long and windy one, but it was well worth all of the hard work.

Katie can't talk about this new album any further without mentioning her amazing collaborators: big shout out to Brian Leach (engineer and instrumentalist extraordinaire), Blair Holmes (drummer), and Ted Kezio (guitarist). Brian and Ted produced Closer, along with Katie. Closer was recorded at Joyride Studios in Humbolt Park (Chicago, IL), which is owned by Blaise Barton, who is also mastering the album.

Katie's running this Kickstarter campaign to allow you to pre-order YOUR copy of Closer, which comes out on August 17th, and to get your help in scheduling her "Katie in Your House" Tour...in YOUR house.

If a cute blonde singing in your living room for all of your friends isn't your thing...what's wrong with you? Just kidding. Instead, you can get an album, a Skype concert, a Katie Care Package, or a chance to make Katie cover the song (or songs) of your choice (ANY song), or tickets to the Closer release party in Chicago on August 17th.

UPDATE: As an extra incentive, for every $500 raised in this campaign, a loved one is posting a REALLY embarrassing picture of Katie on her Facebook page. So far we've seen a dance picture and a picture of Katie on Santa's lap. We can only imagine what's coming next...

What if Katie goes over her $12k goal? First, she will do a little jig. Then, if she hits $15k, she will make an awesome, professional video for one of the songs on CLOSER. Who's in?

This is an ALL OR NOTHING campaign, which means that if Katie doesn't meet her $12kgoal, she'll get none of the money raised. This is where YOU come in.

• When you back CLOSER, your credit card will not be charged. You'll just be saying that you believe in Katie, want her album and/or the other fun perks she's offering.
• When the campaign is over, you will only be charged IF the campaign is successful and she reaches $12k or more.
• If Katie doesn't reach her $12k goal, she gets 0% of what she raised, so this is why it's important to get the word about about her campaign. and this is where you come in...
