A short comedy film about starting over, in the middle.
NOW HELP US GO THE EXTRA MILE IN POST-PRODUCTION WITH YOUR PLEDGE!
THE FILM"Ending Up" is a female buddy comedy about starting over, in the middle. The film explores the ironies of divorce, true friendship and happy endings for four women in their forties. The story begins as Sadie's divorce is about to be finalized. To cheer her up, her best friends, Terri, Blair and Maddie, throw her a divorce party and take her out to celebrate. But before the night is over, their girl's night out takes a turn that none of them ever expected. Can Sadie let go of the past and open the door to a new beginning?
OUR PASSIONThe team behind "Ending Up" believes in the power of storytelling. Stories are important because they bring us hope and remind us that we are not alone. Our film will deliver a message of hope, through laughter, to those who need it--whether it's getting a divorce, being laid-off, or simply standing in the middle of life, wondering what to do next. "Ending Up" reminds us that it’s not the end, it’s only the beginning...of the middle!
Our team is passionate about creating dynamic roles for women both in front of and behind the camera, with a special focus on women entering their forties and beyond.
WHAT THE MONEY IS FORThe money we raise through Kickstarter will be used to rent film equipment, get locations, feed cast and crew on set, and hire crew members.

OUR TEAM
Paige Morrow Kimball (Writer/Director/Producer) was born and raised in New York City and inherited her love of film making as a young girl. Her father, Bruce (radio's 'Cousin Brucie') had movie making equipment in their Brooklyn apartment and they would make films together every weekend. She had found her passion: the art of telling stories through film. Paige attended NYU film school and started her career as a PA for directors Sidney Lumet and Woody Allen. Paige then became a documentary and reality show producer/director on shows including HBO’s “Project Greenlight,” ABC’s "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and documentary 16 Days of Glory, Lillehammer." After working in television for several years, Paige produced her greatest achievements to date: her daughters, Suzanna and Makenzie. Inspired by motherhood to leave no stone unturned, Paige explored the entertainment industry from the other side of the camera, as an actor. During her years of acting in film, TV, commercials and industrials, Paige noticed that films about women in their 40s were too few. She returned to the narrative filmmaking roots that intrigued her as a child and began making her own movies, filling this void. She has written and directed two short films with strong female leads: “Slipped" and “OMG! I’m Knocked Up”. “Ending Up” will be her third film. Paige is a member of the Directors Guild of America.

Jenica Bergere (Actor/Producer) loves good material and is thrilled to tell this particular story under the direction of its author, Paige Morrow Kimball. She is an actress that loves to do both comedy (MEN BEHAVING BADLY, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, SEINFELD) and drama (WITHOUT A TRACE, CSI, BONES), but has rarely gotten the chance to flex both muscles in one film. Jenica is beloved by fans of the DREW CAREY SHOW for her recurring role as "Sharon, his girlfriend, the plumber" for two seasons (made memorable by a tool belt striptease) and has had series regular roles on NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX. Most recently, Jenica's co-starring role in SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, a SUNDANCE 2012 winner which is currently in theaters, has garnered her great reviews ("A lovely Jenica Bergere"-VARIETY, "A charismatic Jenica Bergere"-DAILY HERALD, "A refreshingly grounded Jenica Bergere"-FILM FORWARD) and captured the attention of one female writer/director, Paige Morrow Kimball, who seems to understand that good material is both funny and poignant. She plans on bringing both the comedy and the drama to life in the role of Sadie.

Kathleen Keagy (Producer) has been making creative ideas a reality as far back as she can remember. Just ask her parents who watched her create theatrical worlds from office lamps, leftover Christmas tinsel and her Mom's old 45 records. At Drew University, Kathleen immersed herself in every aspect of the theater from lighting to stage management to directing to performance, and was a founding member and business manager of the college's a cappella group, On A Different Note. Kathleen went on to study dance at the Laban Institute of Movement Studies in New York, and brought her skills to the NY Renaissance Faire where she reconstructed period dances from historic documents. As a teacher, Kathleen fostered emerging artists in the classroom and at non-profit organizations before her combination of creativity and business savvy landed her at JPMorgan where she helped build relationships with leading technology venture capitalists. As a freelance writer, Kathleen publishes regularly on her blog What We Carry and recently completed an original play entitled Soul Fragments. With a resume that ranges the worlds of theater, music, dance, education, business, and performance, Kathleen has the capacity to understand both the chaos of the creative process and the beauty of wrangling that chaos into a cohesive project. Her latest venture, the creative content generator PrimeImpulse, is proud to partner with Paige Morrow Kimball to make "Ending Up" a reality.
Michelle Ehlen (Assistant Director/Co-Producer) is a graduate of The Los Angeles Film School where she studied writing and directing. Her thesis short film, Half Laughing, aired nationally on LOGO and Here TV and is distributed on DVD. Michelle also produced, wrote, directed, and acted in two critically acclaimed feature films, Butch Jamie and POP-U-larity. Butch Jamie won several awards on the festival circuit, including Best Feature at the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. In 2012, she produced two features for LOGO TV — Eating Out: Drama Camp and Eating Out: The Open Weekend. Currently, Michelle is in post-production on a sequel to Butch Jamie, called Heterosexual Jill.
Amadaes Baj (Original Music/Co-Producer) is an accomplished singer/songwriter, musician, producer and filmmaker. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, receiving her B.A. with a double major in Film and Communications. She continued her education in The University of Southern California’s MFA Film Production Program. After being offered a major record deal, Amadaes put her film path on hold for a career in music. She was a part of “Forest For the Trees,” the first band signed to DreamWorks Records (produced by Carl Stephenson-Beck, That Dog, Jude). With her duo Luminary (also signed to DreamWorks), Amadaes provided original music for the Comedy Central Show, "Sit n Spin" and also for the acclaimed production "Hollywood Hell House." As a music producer, she has lent her producing talents to "Forest For The Trees," Michelle Katz, Lexie Shine, and many up and coming artists. Amadaes is currently putting together a team to produce her original screenplay set during the Civil War, featuring her music.
