He cannot escape what he cannot accept.

Storyline:

Fragmented is the story of Sam, a man whose reality has become conflicted with his wants and deepest desires. The film begins with Sam waking up in a mental hospital after having nightmares and visions of a ghost girl. He soon discovers that these visions are insights to a truth that he has long buried in the depths of his being. When Sam can no longer escape the pangs of these revelations, he is forced to accept and ultimately come to terms with this so-called 'reality'.

Director's Statement:

First of all, thank you for your interest in investing!  If not for generous supporters like yourselves, this film could not be made a reality.

Everyone has dealt with heart break and change, there are even those of us who find it hard to accept a truth that doesn't coincide with our hopes and aspirations.  With this film, I want to convey how these disappointments, coupled with mental illness, can have a devastating and life changing effect on an individual. Having dealt with mental illness in my own family, I know firsthand how the simplest of life changes can effect someone in this state. It's important to me to produce this film as a way of coming to terms with this harsh fact.

I look forward to working very closely with the cast and crew in order to make this film a reality.  I'm confident in our team and look forward to bringing you an innovative, inspiring and exceptional product.

All the best,

George

So, what's this money going toward, anyway?

Well, we're glad you asked!  As we move through pre-production, we've received many comments about the ambitious nature of this script.  And we agree!  We knew going into this project that would be one to stretch limitations in nearly every facet of production - and we are ready to take on these challenges.  To give you an idea of where our money will be headed... we have hopes to build and then flood a bedroom set, use special effects to depict realistic hallucinations of a schizophrenic patient and shoot underwater some of Sam's flashbacks, just to name a few.  Any contributions would help immensely!

Meet the Director:

George Mills is a photographer, editor, and film maker from the Philadelphia area. He has edited a variety of both independent and commercial projects. He also, writes, stars, and shoots sketch videos with a comedy group.  Coming out of Temple University's film and media program, George focused his studies  primarily on post production.  However, when the opportunity arose to direct a short film, George took on the challenge enthusiastically, adapting a screen play from a short story he had written. To him, the opportunity to bring his imagination to life, was just something he could not resist.
