Evidently the 10,000 pledge doesn't really exist. Maybe it's something that has yet to work itself out, but I got word from Kickstarter that the credit card transaction "errored" so it's not coming through. But that's no matter, the thing is that everyone pulled/pooled together and met my dream goal for putting out some great records. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Ben Capp's house just burned down, he lost everything, he pitched in. I have the greatest group of support anyone could ask for. This is THE DREAM. So psyched. I'm going to ask you all some questions (a few of you I have already) about how to fulfill the prizes like shirt size and address and lyrics and stuff. And if any of you are to be moving in the next month, we're going to have to keep in communication about that. Happy autumn, y'all, talk to you soon.

When I went to bed last night, this had just breached the $16,000 mark with two hours or so to go, and I was pumped. You guys...$10,000 more in TWO HOURS?! This is truly an amazing feat! Good work to all, and congrats Karl!!

How can we get the 400 odd souls that are "like"ing this on facebook to actually get off their tushies and pledge some $$$. Except I guess they don't have to get off their tushies. They can pledge sitting down. It's so easy! You don't even have to stand up. Do it!!!

Has not connected their Facebook account.

Tooting my own horn of experience: including both solo and various group performances I've played over 1,000 shows spread over 4 continents, recorded over 24 hours of my own music and engineered/produced and recorded dozens of albums for others. I've performed/recorded in D+, The Microphones, EARTH, Laura Veirs, LAKE, Arrington deDionyso, The Bundles, Jim White, Angelo Spencer Et Les Hauts Sommets, and Bright Black Morning Light to name a few.

A LITTLE PERSONAL...

In the northwest of Washington State I grew up with the potential to be a 4th generation oyster farmer, but then traded in my pearls for music notes. I've been writing and recording music for over 20 years now. Currently I have a day job making underwater microphones (hydrophones y'all!) which is only part time -- and which is great because it gives me time to do my thing -- music!

Big changes are afoot in my household. As well as an artist I am a husband and a father. My wife, daughter and I am expecting another child in October, so that means the once vital touring lifestyle I've managed for 9 years is no longer valid. And it's perfect timing because my mind will most likely explode with albums full of songs if it gathers any more inspiration! And that could be messy.
