About this project
BaconCamp is a community driven gathering bringing together chefs and bacon enthusiasts. It is interactive event filled with discussions, demos and delicious treats. Everyone is encouraged to participate by presenting (food, art, demo), judging, or volunteering. BaconCamp is not a spectator sport.
In that vein, we are asking our community to help fund the event. Last year BaconCamp brought in more than 40 presentations and more than 300 participants. This event is a proven success and this year we’d like some money beforehand to buy our supplies and pay our venue.
BaconCamp will be on Saturday May 8th, 12pm-4pm at 3359 Cesar Chavez st (at Mission St.)

If you would like to donate something other than money please contact us! Beer, tshirts, equipment rental, minions; we want your skills. Although cash goes a long way, BaconCamp can't happen without your warm bacon-loving body.
All project backers will receive a thank you post card with the BaconCamp logo. Backers donating $15 will have priority admission to BaconCamp. If the event is full, we will admit project backers before general admission. We will still be selling tickets to BaconCamp at the door. Tickets are donation based & sliding scale. If you are not local, we will send logo stickers and some bacon-themed goodies.
For a $40 donation, you receive a BaconCamp t-shirt. For a $100 donation, backers receive a mention on our site. With a generous donation of $200, you will receive an honorary trophy for being an awesome sponsor.
All proceeds will go to the San Francisco Food Bank.
