Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on January 8, 2012.
Because of a last minute rush, we were able to put together some more pens and ship out a couple of the smaller pledge levels. Hopefully the parts keep coming and we can continue push these out the door. We are getting closer!
We just shipped out the $30 pledge level rewards. Our anodizer is feeding us small batches of parts at a time, so we are putting out what we can. We will be posting as the pledge levels ship.

I guess we harrassed/pestered the anodizer long enough, and it worked! We picked up the caps from the anodizer today. We told them that we wanted the caps first so we could attach the clips while the other parts were being finished. So, we started assembly on the caps today. Hopefully by the time we are done attaching the clips, the rest of the pen parts will be finished and we can do the final assembly and ship these out!

The end is near!
This week we started shipping out the pledge levels that only contain brass pens. Since the brass versions of the RENDER K are raw, we are just cleaning/inspecting the pens and shipping them out. The aluminum pens are going to the anodizer in batches and we are at their mercy as far as scheduling goes. We are going to try and get them to rush our orders, and we will keep you updated as soon as we know what exactly is going on. Here is a photo of just a few of the brass pen caps being assembled.

We are down to the last machining operation on the pens- drilling and tapping the holes on the caps for the screws and clips. We are going to start assembling the brass pens and will be sending the aluminum parts out for anodize. We should start shipping in around a week (if all goes according to plan). We will show you some of the assembly process, so everyone can see how we do it.
We are still waiting on some individuals for their addresses and shipping funds and will keep on top of it so that we can get their pens into their hands.
