After his campers start turning into zombies, a young priest must protect his bible camp from a horde of the walking dead.
Camp St. Zombie is a horror / comedy hybrid sure to please genre fans with a mixture of over-the-top gore, dark humor, and other staples of classic exploitation cinema.
Our film will tell the story of St. Lazarus, a camp for wayward children run by the Catholic Church. After two inept military soldiers dump a barrel of toxic waste into the lake, the children begin mutating into flesh-hungry zombies. Now a young priest and the rest of the camp counselors must defend themselves against a horde of undead children.
Camp St. Zombie will be directed by Joe Van Wie, a filmmaker and actor from Scranton, PA.
Joe was an executive producer on the locally shot independent film Forged. It went on to win top prizes at the HBO International Latino Film Festival and the Providence, Rhode Island Film Festival. It was released theatrically by Maya Entertainment and is now on DVD and video on demand.
Joe Van Wie was also the associate producer on La Soga. It was the first film ever shot in the Dominican Republic to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was released theatrically by 7-57 Releasing and is now on DVD and video on demand.
Joe Van Wie is the CEO and principal owner of JVW Inc., an advertising agency and production house based in Scranton, PA. Our commercials have been nationally recognized and we have received a Pollie Award for excellence in political advertising.

MEET OUR ZOMBIES!
We know a horror movie lives and dies on the strength of its monsters. It takes more to create a memorable zombie than finding an actor with bad balance and covering him in gray face paint. We're collaborating with some of the most talented makeup and conceptual artists currently working in independent film.
WE'RE DYING TO GET THIS MOVIE MADE!
When’s the last time you were truly scared by a movie? It’s probably been way too long. Being scared is the greatest feeling in world. A good horror movie is like a roller coaster ride you don’t have to leave your living room for. If you help fund this movie, we promise to scare you. We’ll create something that frightens, that traumatizes, that scars. If you're going to donate money to us, I know you won’t expect anything less than that.
Have a question? If the info above doesn't help, you can ask the project creator directly.
