Hi Beat Cop's Guide Kickstarters!
I'm happy to inform you that David Haynes's and Christopher Garlington's book, "The Beat Cop's Guide to Chicago Eats," will arrive back from the printer on January 24. Your copies will begin shipping out that afternoon through the next couple of days, arriving before the end of the month.
Thanks again for your early support of this great project. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sharon Woodhouse
P.S. Please keep February 3, 2011, open for the release party at the Chicago Cultural Center. Details to follow.

Sgt. Dave Haynes is almost ready for his own food show on where cops eat! Here he is interviewed on WCIU's "You and Me in the Morning," in which he highlights Vienna Beef Outlet Store, Frank & Mary's Tavern, and Crabby Kim's--three places where cops, especially those who work with him out of Belmont & Western, eat: http://www.wciu.com/youandme.php....
Thanks again, project bakers, for your support! The book is now 100% designed and is in the indexing and final proofreading/design polishing stage. We can't wait to show it off.
We're still about $1,400 away from our $5,000 goal to cover the costs of the first printing, with a little over 3 days to raise it. Please help spread the word to the police officers, foodies, Chicagophiles, and those who love them!
Thanks everyone for your support of "The Beat Cop's Guide to Chicago Eats"!
We're on track to meet our goal if we keep going at this same pace, so please help spread the word to your friends, colleagues, relatives, neighborhoods, and beat cops.
We continue to get more press:
Here's Haynes's interview with Bob Sirott on the Fox 9pm news last week: http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news/chicago-police-sergeant-david-haynes-beat-cops-guide-to-chicago-eats-restaurants-20101116.
Also, the Columbia [College] Chronicle just ran a great interview with publisher Sharon Woodhouse and authors Sgt. David Haynes and Christopher Garlington on where Chicago cops eat: http://columbiachronicle.com/where-chicago-cops-feed/.
