7/6/11: $54,233 We're 5 DAYS AWAY FROM THE END! i'm so excited!!!! we did gang vocals in the studio yesterday and we're doing another set tonight, it's going to be like a lion roaring with ukulele accompaniment.

6/17/11: $42,800.....I mean.... I seriously have to pinch myself every time I look at this. You guys are so amazing. I have so much more freedom in the studio now, I'm able to bring in more instruments/musicians and spend more time working (and less time stressing out about pinching pennies and cutting corners)
Also, an actual-real-life-top-notch music video might be in the works!!WOOO

I've been in the studio for 6 days so far, and the music that is coming out is COOL. The general feel I'm going for is an extension of my youtube videos. There are tons of toys and random sounds that we discovered on accident and a zillion harmonies.
I want to finish the entire album this summer and get it to you guys as soon as possible.
The money is going to pay for musicians, producer, engineer, mixing, mastering, and the actual printing of the CD. If we reach the goal and go past it, there will be more cool rewards for everyone that already donated. Any money I make past the $15,000 point will go towards promoting the album, hiring a publicist, maybe even a licensing company (who doesn't want to hear their songs in the background of some climactic scene in a coming of age film?)

Kickstarter allows me to send a form at the end (July 11th) to ask whatever i need to know for your specific category. So for the uke people, I'll send a form that asks for a list of stuff they'd like for the doodles, shirt size, and address to send it all to.

on the package of the shirt and cd and sticker it'll cost me about $10 to ship it, but it's not required -
no worries, you can add the two donations together, i'll find you on the list of backers based on what category you're in, and make a note to myself that you're supposed to receive 2 packages.
