Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for taking time out to visit my kickstarter campaign!

What can I say? I'm excited about this album to say the least! This project is unlike any I have done in the past. Initially, when I began recording, without the idea of even having an album, I just spontaneously recorded whatever I was feeling in that particular moment. 

After recording one specific song that I liked (thank God for garageband =)), I began to visualize how it would connect with another song, then another, etc. specifically in a performance setting. Thus, I approached the project as an album consisted of songs that essentially connect sonically or emotively and would hopefully instigate many senses, awaken a desire to search, reflect inwardly, or stir up something deep within! I wish to incorporate the violin as an instrument beyond the traditional violin as you know it, in context beyond the norm, as the principal sound infused with many other timbres and instruments. 

The violin that inspired me to record this album is the "Baumgartner" Stradivarius made in 1689 on loan to me from the Canada Council for the Arts through a wonderful and generous donor.

I've been wanting to do this for a while now, and I am so happy to finally bring it into fruition! All original works, composed, performed, recorded, and produced, independently (in my apartment!), with the help of a friend who will be mixing it after it's finished, it's an album that I have complete creative control over. 

Kickstarter Campaign is a great tool to have you be a part of my project and to connect more with all of you! It's also a pathway to self perseverance and faith allowing me the freedom and opportunity to explore and perform many different realms of music, and to create music that I am passionate about. It has enabled me to continue to make the music that springs from the depths of my soul as well as letting go and being inspired. It is my greatest gift to be able to share this music with all of you. 

This record is going to roughly cost $7,500. I am asking for your help to finish recording the album. It will NOT get funded if I don't meet my goal. 

what it will go towards:

-Mastering

-Photography

-Music video filming

-USB, CD, poster/postcard and vinyl manufacturing (by far the biggest expenses here)

-Promoting an independently created project

***If I surpass my goal, the record will just get better. I get to cut less corners and can really focus on promoting the album and getting it out there. You're obviously free to donate more than the specified amount for any given promotional package, but just as important is the tweeting, facebooking, emailing, and telling all your friends, family, neighbors and complete strangers about this campaign! And please...if you know anyone who might be a fan of mine or of music, the violin, interested in supporting indie artists and their music etc~ that may not see this online...tell them of the exciting new adventure!***
