Syte Sleeve

Hello there! Thank you for visiting our Kickstarter page. With your help, we'd like to release a product that we see as the future of clothing.

The Syte Sleeve is a comfortable and durable sleeve that lets you see and use your smartphone on your wrist. It works with all Apple iPhones, iPod Touches, and most Android smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy, Motorola DROID, and many HTC and LG smartphones. 

I've been working on the design ever since we launched the Syte Shirt last year. I love running and exercising, but have never found the perfect accessory. Armbands either slip down your arm flopping around, or pinch the bicep causing discomfort. Also, by having the smartphone on your upper arm, you can't see the screen or use the phone. Carrying your phone in a pocket leaves it bouncing around and holding your phone is uncomfortable for long periods. The new exercise apps for smartphones are awesome, but having the phone on your bicep or in your pocket makes it hard to use them.

I've been wearing the Syte Sleeve for the past year and it works flawlessly for exercising. It keeps my smartphone snug on my wrist, where it's easy to read, adjust the volume, and use other functions. I've run hundreds of miles in the sun, rain, and cold, and it keeps my smartphone protected from the elements and doesn't distract me from running.

The Syte Sleeve is so comfy that I have one for running and one for carrying my smartphone all day. The design is subtle, and only draws attention when I’m reading or using my smartphone on my wrist. It’s so easy to glance at my wrist to check-in, read new messages, or check the map. I’ve designed the Syte Sleeve so your smartphone will sit comfortably on your wrist daily without getting too hot or uncomfortable. The Syte Sleeve also allows for charging of most smartphones while they’re still in the sleeve. You plug-in your smartphone when you sit down at the desk, and unplug when you’re getting ready to leave.

The clothes we wear today were never designed for the smartphones we use today. We believe the Syte Sleeve is designed for how we will use smartphones today and into the future.

So here is where you come in. We’ve done all we can by ourselves, but manufacturing is expensive. The Syte Sleeve uses advanced fabrics, and has a unique design to keep the smartphone dry and cool. Kickstarter is a great way for our young company to realize the ideas that we love, but big companies are too scared to embrace. We are devoted to creating unique products that push the boundary of how people interact with technology. We believe in the emerging power of community and the individual to bring ideas to life and we hope that this is just the beginning of Syte Gear. By pledging $20 you are pre-ordering a Syte Sleeve and by pledging $50 you will receive a Kickstarter limited edition Syte Sleeve. Any contribution will help to make what we believe is a very useful smartphone accessory a reality.
