See prison life through the eyes of the first art teacher for inmates in Texas. This book tells many stories of the lives he changed.

In 1972, Jim Humphries was hired to start the first art program for Texas inmates.  Never had this been attempted before, and no one not even he, could imagine the impact of the program.

For 12 years, Jim worked with the inmates in numerous Texas prisons, helping them find solace in their art work.  Whilst working with the patients in the treatment center at Walls as the first prison art therapist in Texas, he made some extraordinary discoveries and helped some otherwise "lost causes" rehabilitate.  Jim had no degree in psychology, just a strong empathy for other people, he gift was able to use in his teaching.

This book needs your help, so many others can read and learn from the positive impact art can make on the lives of all people, both free and incarcerated.  At close to 200 pages, it stands fully written and ready for line editing, interior/cover design via 1106design.com, and self-publishing via createspace.com and Amazon.com.

Please go to www.windhamrembrandt.com to read an excerpt from the book, and find out more information on me and my eleven year old promise.

**Within 100 days from having this project fully funded, this book should be available on Amazon!**

MANY THANKS TO THOMAS BURCHFIELD, NATHAN HAASE, HENNER ZELLER, CHARITY VANDEBERG, ELSA SUBERBIELLE, AND MY MOM, ELIZABETH COIMAN-LOPEZ, FOR HELPING ME MAKE THIS BOOK HAPPEN!
