The filmmaker:

I am a teenage student filmmaker from a small town in Indiana. I have a grand total of $5 in my bank account and big ambitions. One of which is to film a feature length narrative movie (or 45-minute short film) during my senior year of high school. But there are certain stepping stones to achieving this dream - and one is practice. That is what "I Am Here" is. Practice. I want to be sure that I can make something worth submitting to festivals and if I have the talent to proceed with my next film.

I am by no means an experienced filmmaker (and by that, I mean a filmmaker with any real experience making a quality production). "I Am Here" will be my first official trial. As I am a student with no current job and with no money, I have no gear. Gear is expensive and I am already even borrowing a camera.

This video was created by the SADD chapter at my school (of which I am the president). I directed and edited the video. This is a brief look into my work.

What we need:

I am looking to raise a meek $200. The project goal is set at $100 due to Kickstarter's all-or-nothing setup. This will cover some basic set-ups for "I Am Here" and will get me started on the road to filmmaking greatness.

With your backing, we hope to purchase: Lighting rigs, camera accessories, costumes, makeup, and much more behind-the-scenes gear. Your backing will not only fund "I Am Here" but will go towards all of our future projects.

The story:

Alexandria and Marie have always had a close relationship as sisters. They did everything together and were there for each other no matter what happened between them. That is, until a hit and run driver kills Alexandria. While Marie is grieving she thinks about her time together with Alexandria whom sticks around to look after her sister without her knowledge.

 ...and the rest is a mystery. At least until you watch the film. 

The story is the main essence of the film, however, the movie is artistic in some ways. Certain emotions and elements of the film are portrayed expressively through different forms of story-telling (forms other than through dialogue).

The cast and crew:

'I Am Here' will be produced by Green Vinyl Productions and will be released in middle to late February (timeline may change). It is written and directed by Jonah Pritchett. 

It stars Sarah Bruce and Robin Foutch and some various other crew members. No one involved in this production is receiving any form of compensation.
