Just got my copy of the cd in the mail. I am flabbergasted!! Personalized and with my doggies right underneath you, they are the thing that truly brings me such happiness. So perfect. Thank you for all the effort Jonah. This is a masterpiece! Cannot wait for the next project!!
Creator Amekins on January 4, 2012

Creator Joost van Reijendam on November 11, 2011
Great project, Jonah! Better late than never, my fav's:
- HUM (stars, or anything from Hum is great!!!)
- A perfect circle (3 libras / the noose)
- Muse (micro cuts /starlight)
- Deftones (digital bath)
- Alice in chains (brother / nutshell)
Because you already did a few songs during live performances, I think it would be nice if you could skip those songs on the album (like "street spirit" , "be quiet & drive") and picked other covers to record.
Funny that you still do "be quiet & drive", because back in the days when the song just came out Far & Deftones toured toghether and at the show in Amsterdam Jonah did the backings on the song with the Deftones during the concert, it was awesome!!
Creator Jason Trinque on November 11, 2011
Power of Love by Huey Lewis would be great with a Jonah interpretation.
Creator Matt Johnson on November 9, 2011

Watched the video and heard my name Amekins! Cant tell yoy how awesome that was!!! Thanks for appriciating your fans! We love you Jonah!!!!!!
Creator Tom Fears on November 8, 2011
Love the Foo and love you. I would love to hear Walking After you by them, just because it's my brother and sister in-laws "song". I still remember the first time he showed me your music, when you did the vinyl split with incubus, and it was because of him we trekked all over so-cal, that even taking off my shoes wouldn't count the number of times we've seen you together. Thanks for always refilling my cup. ♥
Creator Jon Sanchez on November 8, 2011
WOOHOO!!! We nearly got 500% of your goal, Jonah!!! i'm SOOOO glad to be a part of the top 14, and PROUD of this band of brothers and sisters you have in us all to get us there -- Now do what you do best and ROCK US ALL! :D

Creator Ross Blackwood on November 8, 2011
Hey Jonah, Im so glad that this project is going ahead and that I can be a part of it. I'm also really happy that the vinyl version will be happening too! Just thought I'd chuck in my suggestions though quite how you're going to decide from everyones suggestions I don't know! Some of these you suggested on the main page and some of them are suggestions I'd like (and think you would too).
Fade Into You (Mazzy Star)
Born To Run (Springsteen)
Be Quiet & Drive (Deftones) When you covered this song and dedicated it to Chi at Nice and Sleazys a few years ago it brought tears to my eyes!
Fake Plastic Trees (Radiohead)
Release (Pearl Jam)
Irreplaceable (Beyonce) I remember seeing you cover this live somewhere and it made me appreciate that it was actually lyrically a good song!
Tiny Dancer (Elton John)
Better Man (Pearl Jam)
I’ll Take Care Of You (Mark Lanegan) Though I realise this is a cover already!
Wanted Dead or Alive (Bon Jovi) I always loved your lyrical reference to this song in Livin’ Small.
Sunshine On Leith (The Proclaimers) Not sure if you’ll even know this song and I realise that the Proclaimers can be a bit of an acquired taste but I’ve always liked the simplicity of the lyrics to this song and can envisage you doing a great version of it.
Thanks Jonah and I can't wait to hear the finished album whatever selection of songs you decide upon.
Creator Ryan Sanders on November 8, 2011
Jonah, you always come up with the most amazing ideas. Everyone has great ideas, here are some hopeful suggestions.
Portishead - Roads
Jimmy Eat World - Just Watch The Fireworks
Metallica - Dyers Eve
Glassjaw - Her Middle Name Is Boom
Faith No More - Just A Man
Everything But The Girl - Missing
Snapcase- Synthesis of Classic Forms
Thursday - No Answers
Creator Dave Toffling on November 8, 2011
Madonna- Live to Tell should definitely be on the list either as you or the "performance art" piece you have done where you sing parts of the song as Thom York, Jeremy Enigk, the kid from sixth sense and James Hetfield.... Y-Y-YEAHHHH!!!!
Speaking of Jeremy Enigk, a cover of In Circles or Killed by an Angel
Alkaline Trio - Radio/We Can Never Break Up
Deftones - Be quiet and drive/digital bath
Hum - Stars
George Michael - One more Try
Maybe some Boys II Men
Creator john slimin on November 8, 2011

Creator Gunselmo on November 8, 2011

Creator Scott Summerlin on November 8, 2011

Greetings from Finland, nice show in Tampere, Jonah!
Creator John Clementi on November 7, 2011
I voted for my songs (number one of which being madonnas Live to Tell from the far days) early in this.. didn't realize it would become wide open suggestions of songs you have not covered in the past... on that note:
Smashing Pumpkins "This Time" off Machina album. Greatly Overlooked song in music history. And, in my opinion, it is either part one (or two) of Gratitude's "If Ever" (Also one of musics most uncelebrated gems). They go hand in hand in mood and topic...
Creator Josh Andrews on November 7, 2011
On ur last cover album u did a Sparklehorse song.
Other songs for dedications by them I love...
Shade and Honey
Don't Take My Sunshine Away
Some Sweet Day
Creator Josh Andrews on November 7, 2011
So cool ur doing this project Jonah.
Big shout for hearing a Jonah-ized version of Madonna- Live to Tell.
It was great with Far, but want to hear it acoustic.
Creator Lovecraft on November 7, 2011
Hi, I always thought that an acoustic slow-down version of the Black Eyed Peas "I got a feeling" will suit Jonah's voice perfectly. I did it once at a Xmas party, only a few days after my wife and I lost our baby and I was almost crying. Some people did. I know it's a happy song, but when played slowly and acoustic with a jonah-like voice (I have a similar voice to Jonah), this is song is very sad and ironic... in a beautiful way....
So it's probably too late for new suggestions anyway, so here's my fave list amongst the one previously choosen, in no particular order:
Fade Into You (Mazzy Star),
Be Quiet & Drive (Deftones),
Digital Bath (Deftones),
Fake Plastic Trees (Radiohead),
Purple Rain (Prince),
and of course Stars (Hum) - a great song...
Creator Jodie F on November 7, 2011
post script - Just looked up Hum and I think their songs would be awesome Jonah-fied! So this is a vote for either Stars or I'd Like Your Hair Long :) hushing now, thanks Jonah!
Creator Nate Hertweck on November 7, 2011
Hi Jonah - "To Ramona" absolutely jumped off your list and I think it's a homerun for you to cover. It is my sister's favorite Dylan tune (mine too) and I plan on playing it for her at her wedding next May - it is beyond powerful. There is also an incredible version by Sinead Lohan that I found on YouTube that might inspire you. Please strongly consider "To Ramona"!
I also like "Stars" by Hum from your list, and would additionally suggest:
-"It's Late" by Tinfed
-"Hypeballad" by Bjork
-"Anything" by Martina Topley-Bird
-"It Makes No Difference" by the Band
-"Don't Dream It's Over" Crowded House
-Your favorite PJ Harvey song
Thank you for doing this project - connectivity in music is beautiful, and your drive to include the passion of your fans is inspiring.
Creator Kevin Exley on November 7, 2011
I know I'm late, but would love to hear you put your twist on 'Acid Food' by Mogwai, or maybe 'New Moon by Cave In. Can't wait to hear what comes from this, and glad to have been part of it, even if just in a minor capacity...
Creator DonaldLMIII on November 7, 2011
OH! "Magazine" from Pedro the Lion. Really, any Pedro the Lion. GO FORTH!
Creator Mallory on November 7, 2011
Jonah, I've always been a fan of your cover of the Creeper Lagoon song Drop Your Head.
Creator Jodie F on November 7, 2011
Since you're still accepting suggestions and I am also late haha, here are mine from your list!
Born To Run (Springsteen)
We Can Never Break Up (Alkaline Trio)
Oh, It Is Love (hellogoodbye)
Unthinkable (Alicia Keys)
All I Ask Of You (Phantom Of The Opera)
Don't Let Me Stop You (Kelly Clarkson)
Surrender (Cheap Trick)
Fake Plastic Trees (Radiohead)
The Scientist (Coldplay)
Mr. Brightside (The Killers)
Birthday (Sugarcubes)
Nothing Compares 2 U (Prince via Sinead)
I feel like that's not much help since it's a ton of the list, sorry!
If we can suggest other songs too, how about a Goo Goo Dolls track off of Dizzy Up the Girl? Also would be interested in hearing a Jonah version of:
Bjork's HyperBallad
A Paramore track, like Careful or any other one you thought would be good.
Kevin Devine - Cotton Crush or anything.
I support previous suggestions of Sade, City & Colour, Tegan & Sara and Postal Service as well!
Creator DonaldLMIII on November 7, 2011
Jonah! This is one of the best idea's I've come across in a while. Here's my suggestions: "Wagon Wheel" by Old Crow, "Curtis Loew" by Skynyrd, and either "Choir Vandals" or "Kindness of Strangers" by American Analog Set. Good luck!

Hi Danielle,
So so sweet! I'll find that one and listen (I try to keep backups just in case people lose em). Thanks so much for being open to it being shared with the world!
And thanks for all the support and kindness.

Creator Danielle Ely on November 7, 2011
Hi Jonah,
Last year around December you made a unique recording for me (Danielle) from my boyfriend Tony. It was our 1st year anniversary and now we're on to year two! We were both so blown away by how much effort you put into the song ...it still means a lot to the both of us. Perhaps there will be room to share on the cover album. I know you've said in the past that you don't usually hear unique recordings ever again, unless you happen to run in to the people you've made them for. Well, I think it would be wonderful if your version of The Presidents of The United States of America's "Stranger" ended up on the album. Thanks for keeping the romance alive Jonah.

'Live to Tell' by Madonna would be great, you sang this back in 2002 in Manchester in a tiny upstairs room above a pub, we were all sat on the floor and you started singing this, I love Madonna and sang along quietly but you noticed, and asked me to sing too, I got all embarrassed and didn't, but still holds many good memories for me!
