Diamonds in Glass creates one of a kind jewelry and art using crystal and beautiful diamonds. Help us KickStart our business
Artist and jeweler Johnny Diamond and Vanto Fine Jewelry present Diamonds in Glass fine jewelry and art. We have perfected a process to set diamonds in glass. We are hoping to raise capital to produce a number of pieces of jewelry and art which are each one of a kind! We hope to produce at least 4-6 new piece of jewelry and art including necklaces, wine glasses, champagne flutes, and sculptures but can produce as many as the donations permit. This will take between 6-9 months (potentially more if we receive more donations!) We also hope to raise capital to patent and protect the process and make some simple marketing and display materials to display our jewelry and art.
A diamond takes millions of years to produce deep within earths crust under high heat and high pressure, then volcanoes blast these gems to the earths surface where man finds them. After hours of cutting and polishing by a highly trained and skilled cutter, we are left with a beautiful diamond as you see in many stores.
Diamonds are beautiful object made naturally by the earth, but are also the hardest substance known to man. They can withstand very high temperatures.
Artist Johnny Diamond (John Marques) understood this physical characteristic of a diamond, and for years worked with many variations to set diamond in a non-traditional way. After years of contemplation and testing, he perfected the process of setting the diamonds in glass.
What creates a diamonds "sparkle" or scintillation is light being reflected off the inside of the diamonds' facets. In setting a diamond in glass, two things happen. From the inside, the light is focused into the diamond making more "sparkle" or scintillation coming out of the diamond. From the outside of the piece of jewelry or art piece, the glass magnifies the diamond making it appear 2x to 4x larger to the eye.
The perfect lines and cuts of the diamond, along with the naturally flowing lines of the glass, produce a juxtaposition of beauty which is unparalleled.
With your donations we can spread our beautiful art and jewelry and take our business and art to the next level!
