Incursio is a third/first person space flight shooter. It is aimed at anyone who likes cooperative defense/attack missions and fast paced FPS/Flight games.
We currently have a build of Incursio for Facebook at http://preview.tinyurl.com/29dgnxa. However, FB is not our "target platform." We want to deploy to iPlatforms, Android, browser-based systems like Steam, and eventually up to the consoles. Ascension is not a Facebook game, but a game that is playable in Facebook.
The money we are asking for here on Kickstarter is to purchase more licenses of our game engine (Unity 3D). Anything beyond that will go to other hardware and software upgrades, and anything beyond that will go toward expanding Incursio with more ships, weapons, maps, and enemies.
We have a transmedia approach to design. By contributing to Incursio, you are not only helping fund a single unique experience, but you are providing the catalyst for a new, exciting intellectual property.
Digital Roar Studios is made of a group of talented developers working on a project that we believe in. Passionately.
There are about twenty of us scattered across the United States, and we function as a virtual studio. Our goal is to create a AAA game experience with an indie attitude and with an indie budget. We've been working on our game for the past 2+ years, completely unfunded, based on blood, sweat, tears, wisdom teeth, gall bladders, and other assorted body parts that we've had to sacrifice. Many of our developers are professionals by day who work on our game by night, for free, because they believe so much in the what we are doing.
We firmly believe that games can entertaining and be art at the same time.

Digital Roar Studios Inc. was founded in 2008 by John Lyons and Zachariah Inks with the express purpose of changing the way video games are made. We have assembled a highly talented and hungry team of young professionals in order to do so.
Our designers, artists, and programmers pool their experience from government, the entertainment industry, and academia, combining talents to create new and exciting game play experiences that represent our vision to challenge the conventions of the video game industry through creative game creation while focusing on the construction of original intellectual property and multi-platform proliferation.
