About this project
My pitch is quite simple really, I need to raise enough money to have my songs professionally mixed. I have 7 songs ready to get that "million dollar" sound! I just need funding from everyone who appreciates my sound.
Mixing is expensive:
The gentleman I need to hire for my mixes has engineered for the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and P-Diddy to name a few. Because of his stature and reputation of perfection, he does not come cheap. If I’m going to run with the big boys, I need to sound polished like the big boys.
Why should you pledge?
Maybe you like the cut of my jib or appreciate my style of Hip Hop and enjoy the incorporated sounds of Motown.
My producer and I believe to have created a niche in the overwhelming, flooded world of music, where everyone and their Grandmother will claim to sing. Understand that my music is a new genre, “Doo-wop/Hip Hop” and can be enjoyed by people in all walks of life.
Getting my songs professionally mixed puts me one step closer to either releasing an EP independently or greatly increasing my chances of attaining Major Label attention. My hopes ever since I can remember, was to be able to make a living doing what I love, which is making music. Not to mention you will receive the incredible and formidable incentives in the list adjoining.

JOHN FITZ
Some might define John Fitzgibbon as just a small town boy from
Wisconsin, who lived in NJ for a year, then made his way out to Chi-town after a
girl, and a dream. But, it was heartbreak, and resilience that helped pen the
independently released, hit single, “Girl Like U” for the rapper, who then evolved into the
incomparable artist…John Fitz. John’s appreciation for musical quality, and the
collaboration with his Grammy nominated producer, “Allstar” (Lloyd Banks, Gym Class
Heroes, & Ludacris) created a dynamic fusion of rap music meeting a Motown melody. A
musical style that John Fitz characterizes as “Doo-Whop Rap”.
John Fitz, who hails from Wisconsin, always had musical aspirations, and
a vast array of musical influences. “I grew up listening to Genesis, Pearl Jam, and
The Beatles, but when I heard Biggie Smalls’, single, “Juicy” I knew rap would be
my thing.” Even though, John could not identify with Biggies’ hardcore street
reality, he appreciated his honesty, and the sincerity of his music. “It was so
appealing to me, raw and true, that I decided then to make sure that my music
would reflect the mood, and the contents of my songs would tell some type of
story, my story, that my fans could follow.” John always did things a little
differently in his small town. While most of Johnʼs friends were listening to
Grateful Dead, and Phish, he was more into hip-hop and R&B. He recalls a girl he was
interested in telling him about her rapping boyfriend, but John thought he could do a
better job! John Fitz added to his rap collection such musical influences as Snoop, Dr.
Dre, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Mase, DMX, and Jay Z, and also includes R&B and Pop
artist like Snow Patrol, Lady Gaga, Boys to Men, and Michael Jackson.
With, Allstarʼs timeless tracks, John Fitz decided to make this single
relevant to his heartbroken struggles. His decision to relocate to Chicago to follow
love, and pursue his music endeavors became the inspiration for his hit single.
“Girl Like U”, is my story about every girl that breaks your heart…the girls that pull the
rug out from under you….make you believe your the only one, until someone they feel is
better comes along…yeah, that girl broke my heart”. Itʼs hard to believe that such a feel
good rap song, with that electrifying blend of quality music, with catchy rap lyrics, evokes
such heartfelt emotions. But, for the artist known as John Fitz, all his music will give
you a window into his soul.
John Fitz aspires to have one of the greatest compilationsʼ, and longevity
in the music industry. This is the very reason he strives to create quality, really
good music rather than just following the music trend. John Fitz with his 60ʼs
fashion sense, coupled with his Motown Rap Infusion, puts Mr. John Fitz in a
lane of his own. John says, “Itʼs hard for me to think about doing anything else
with my life…I feel alive when I am doing my music, and hopes to bring his fans
down his lane for the JOHN FITZ ride”.
