About this project

Why hello there! If we're not already acquainted, my name is Joseph John Sanchez III. I've spent the past few years making drawings based on various musical compositions, and "The Twist" will be my first official series of this sort to be displayed in a public setting.

Each of the 6-8 pieces are inspired by classic songs within the history of rock, R&B and pop. They are composed on recycled materials such as newspaper, envelopes and paper bags, with most of the concepts developed while commuting from Salem, MA to Boston.

For the sake of presentation, I'm going to venture into territory I've never explored with my work--getting my pieces matted and framed professionally. This is where you come in. Your donations will help bring these compositions to the next level.

Any funds above my goal will be set aside for future projects, such as a potential solo exhibition in Salem, Marblehead or with other local art associations. Any profits made from pieces sold during the Salem Arts Festival (where they'll be displayed) will be donated to a local non-profit organization that is very close to my heart, The Northeast Animal Shelter.

I really appreciate you reading about this project, and hopefully you've already decided to donate.  Thank you, in advance, for all of your support.
